Privacy & your data

Last updated 14 September 2026

Mortgage Engineering is published by Crown Money Management. We handle personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This page explains, in plain English, exactly what happens to what you give us. Crown Money's full policy is at crownmoney.com.au/privacy.

What we collect, and when

When you request the free program we collect your name, email address, mobile number, approximate home loan amount, approximate household income and postcode. We also record which page you submitted from, any referral code in your link, and the date and time.

The loan amount, income and postcode are optional context — they let us send material scaled to your situation rather than generic content. If you would rather not provide them, email us and we will send the program without them.

We do not collect payment details. The program is free and there is nothing to buy on this site.

Why we collect it, and how we contact you

We use your details to send you the program and your toolkit access, and so that Crown Money Management can contact you — by email, SMS or phone — about paying your home loan off sooner. By submitting the form you consent to that contact. You can withdraw consent at any time: use the unsubscribe link in any email, reply STOP to any SMS, or email us and we will stop, permanently.

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with unrelated third parties for their own marketing.

Who your details are shared with

Crown Money Management— the business behind this program. Your enquiry is worked by Crown's team; if you go on to engage Crown for credit assistance, Crown's own privacy policy and credit-specific consents apply to that relationship.

Our service providers — the form submits to Zapier, which passes your details into HubSpot, the customer relationship system Crown uses to manage enquiries. Netlify hosts this website. These providers process data on our instructions only.

Overseas storage. Zapier and HubSpot store data on servers in the United States, so your details will be held overseas. We take reasonable steps to ensure they handle it consistently with the Australian Privacy Principles, but by submitting the form you acknowledge that this overseas disclosure occurs.

We may also disclose information where required or authorised by law.

The AI toolkit never sees your bank data

This is the part people care about most, so it is worth being exact. The tools on /toolkit run entirely inside your own browser. When you load a bank statement export, the file is read by JavaScript on your device. It is never uploaded — no transaction of yours reaches our servers, our hosting provider, Crown Money, or any AI service.

Results you choose to keep (your categories, your loan figures, your dashboard history) are saved in your browser's local storage on that device. Clearing your browser data deletes them, and we cannot recover them because we never had them.

The tools never connect to your bank and never ask for banking credentials. Nobody from Crown Money will ever ask you for your internet banking password — if anyone does, it is not us.

Cookies, local storage and embedded content

We set a small number of first-party cookies and local-storage values: a referral code if you arrived through a referral link, a flag recording that you have requested the program, and your saved toolkit settings. These are functional, not advertising, cookies.

Two third parties load content on this site: Elfsight, which displays Crown Money's live Google reviews, and Google Cloud Storage, which streams the client testimonial videos. They may set their own cookies under their own policies. Where site analytics are enabled, they are configured to measure page and conversion performance, not to identify you personally.

How long we keep it

Enquiry records are kept in HubSpot while your enquiry is active and afterwards for as long as we have a business or legal reason to hold them — ordinarily up to seven years, consistent with Australian record-keeping obligations — then deleted or de-identified. Ask us to delete your details sooner and we will, unless the law requires us to keep them.

Access, correction and complaints

You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email admin@crown.money and we will respond within 30 days. There is no charge.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first — email the address above, or call 1300 882 981 — and we will investigate. If you are still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this page

We update this page as the product changes. The date at the top always reflects the current version.
